Happiness Through the Eyes of Albert Camus

Possessing a background in graphic design, Griffith “Griff” Littlehale is currently based in Ohio, where he continues to work on a variety of designs, such as logos, event posters, and holiday cards. Griffith Robert Littlehale also focuses on an array of hobbies and interests, such as reading literature and studying psychology. He enjoys the works of notable philosophers, such as Albert Camus, who was recently referenced in an article titled Happiness Is Personal and published by Psychology Today.

In the article, author Ahron Friedberg explores happiness and how it may be controlled by invoking the philosophy of Albert Camus, who mused that looking for and defining happiness can inadvertently keep one unhappy. In addition, Camus believed happiness is achieved not through focusing on it, but rather based on a “cosmic toss-up.” Friedberg doesn’t necessarily disagree with Camus’s philosophy, but rather draws from it while building his argument that individuals need treatments tailored specifically to them while exploring what happiness means to them.
